About Brett Gowen

Mr. Gowen is a senior associate with Farrell, Fraulob, & Brown. He was born and raised in the Central Valley of California. He attended UC Davis for his undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics. Mr. Gowen graduated with distinction from University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. He practices Social Security law, Workers' Compensation, and Elder Law including estate planning with wills, trusts, deeds, powers of attorney, and conservatorships.

Mr. Gowen enjoys helping people. While in college and before law school he tutored at-risk middle school and high school children in all subjects both privately and in multiple Central Valley school districts. He also was a substitute teacher focusing on students in the greatest need at a local continuation school.

This passion for helping those in need continued to Mr. Gowen's legal career. Whether it is assisting an injured worker getting vital medical treatment, or fighting for a disabled individual who was denied Social Security benefits, he is able to help people with their complex legal issues.

During law school, Mr. Gowen interned for the California Franchise Tax Board's Legal Division as well as two years with the stellar pro bono McGeorge School of Law, Elder and Health Law Clinic. At McGeorge, Mr. Gowen handled elder abuse cases, restraining orders, wills, trusts, consumer protection, conservatorships, special needs trusts, powers of attorney, and trust management and disputes.

At Farrell, Fraulob, & Brown Mr. Gowen has been able to continue assisting client with these legal issues as well as expanding to the fields of Workers' Compensation and Social Security. He has had a high success rate advocating for his Social Security clients at Administrative Law Hearings and in winning the retroactive payments they were previously denied.
